It is just going out to an area and killing every creature (Or certain groups of creatures) to get loot.

mYst has it perfect, when I first heard it back 10 months ago, I thought it was a special ability only necromancers had, and didn't know what that was. Yes, I was that dumb.

You want to farm either solo or with as few players (not henchies) as possible so you get as much experience and loot as possible. There is a farming board there amongst the individual profession boards and builds in any of those boards.

"Farming" in most MMOs means hanging around a certain area inorder to repeatedly kill a monster that spawns there ("farm" the monster) for its valuable/special loot or higher amount of experience.

GW does this alittle different with there Instanced Worlds where monsters don't respawn, so you have to repeatedly zone in and out and kill the monsters there. Also only your group is out there, so you don't have to compete for the monsters.

farming can also include: chest running as you are farming for loot just not killing anything

faction farming: redoing a faction based mission over and over again (kinda lame)

Farming Sorrows Furnace with Henchman ftw.

Farming can be with anywhere from 1 to 12 people (Urgoz Warren and The Deep), and simply means that you kill the same things over and over for money.

We plant the seed, nature grows the seed, we eat the seed, we plant the seed, nature grows the seed, we eat the seed, we plant the seed, nature grows the seed, we eat the seed, we plant the seed *Is hit over the head with a shovel*

Farming is kinda like that. Just doing the same thing over and over again.

Ditto to that. I hate farming and will rarely do it unless there are materials I need or collector stuff for the special events (like Christmas and the candy canes).
